HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shrek the Fourth pulled in $71.2 million; it was the fourth biggest opening for an animated film, behind Shrek 3, Shrek 2 and The Simpsons.  It was also the fourth-biggest opening weekend for a 'fourth chapter' in box office history, behind Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Major Hollywood studios are in discussions with Time Warner Cable to offer movies on demand in people's homes just 30 days after films hit the theater. The concept is being called "home theater on demand", with the idea being that consumers would be offered the recently released movies in High Definition for $20 to $30. The formal pitch was made during a cable industry convention last week.

Website TheWrap reports Megan Fox walked away from Transformers 3 because director Michael Bay was "verbally abusive" toward her and "she had enough and decided to get out early."  Michael has a negative reputation when it comes to his leasing ladies:   i.e. Pearl Harbor star Kate Beckinsale.  Sources say that Michael "wants his actresses to look a certain way, and if they can't meet his absurd standards of beauty, he gets rid of them."
