HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The White House Chief of Protocol Capricia Marshall showed how to recover gracefully from a fall in front of the first couple...and the rest of the world. While awaiting the arrival of Mexico's president, Felipe Calderon...Marshall took a spill in front of the Obamas and the military color guard. But before anyone could react, she was back up and in position to greet the approaching Mexican motorcade.

A drug already on the market might be a new weapon against cancer. Researchers say the drug called Iloprost could prevent lung cancer in former smokers. It did not appear to be effective for people who still smoke. Iloprost is currently used to treat high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs.

London unveiled its 2012 Olympic and Paralympic mascots. They're a pair of one-eyed, alien-looking creations named after two small English towns, Wenlock and Mandeville. The mascots were unveiled at an elementary school and the children cheered when they saw them. The creators want the mascots to inspire young people to get involved in the Olympic spirit.
