HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Mufi Hannemann's campaign is dispelling rumors. There've been rumblings the Honolulu mayor may not run for governor, as expected, and instead seek a US Senate seat. But at his campaign headquarters Wednesday, Hannemann's campaign co-chair said that's not true.
"Mufi Hannemann is going to be running for governor. There is no other office he is looking at right now" said Dean Okimoto.
Okimoto says Hannemann will make his announcement within ten days. Hawaii News Now was told he won't resign as mayor until July 20th, the last day possible, but you can expect to see political advertising well before then.
