HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a badger! Yes, a badger was added to the roster of animals that grace the tails of Frontier Airline's planes. The company wants to give a little love to the badger state after merging with the Wisconsin based Midwest Airlines. The company spokesperson says the image honors the 25 years of business that both Frontier and Midwest Airlines have done in America's dairy land.

A "flash mob" broke during rush hour at a busy train station in Cape Town, South Africa. A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse. Commuters stopped and some even joined in the dance. The flash mob met to celebrate the upcoming South African World Cup of soccer which starts in less than a month.

The Coast Guard in Alaska had their hands full rescuing two men and their seven dogs after their helicopter went down in the wilderness over the weekend. It took more than an hour to lift the men who wouldn't leave their canine companions behind. So one by one, the helicopter dropped a rescue basket and finally lifted the entire team to safety.
