Hawaii mortgage rates to lowest level of 2010

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of Hawaii, the two largest banks in the state, are offering 30-year fixed-rate mortgages for 4.625%.

The rates, seen Monday on the two banks' websites, included points of 1.75 (First Hawaiian) or 1.875 (Bankoh) so that APRs - annual percentage rates including all points and fees - came to between 4.8% and 4.9%.

Mortgage rates nationwide average 4.9%, represented the fourth straight weekly decline and the lowest average national home loan rate of 2010.
