HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Students at the St. Andrews Priory in downtown Honolulu celebrated the 143rd Anniversary of the school's founding, by decorating a nine foot coral cross.

The cross itself dates back to the creation of the school which was founded by Queen Emma.

More than 6,000 flowers decorate the cross.

The junior class responsible for the display stayed up all night getting the cross ready.

This weekend in Vegas, a new woman will be crowned Miss USA.

Miss Hawaii USA Renee Nobriga is in Sin City right now preparing for Sunday's big event.

The 26-year-old is from Haleiwa.

You can catch her, along with all of the other contestants Sunday night on KHNL at 6:00 p.m.

If you're looking for a new furry friend, head down to Market City Shopping Center on Sunday.

Pet's Discount is hosting a puppy "swap meet" from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You can buy a puppy, meet its breeder and get valuable tips from trainers and local vets.

Each new owner will get a special puppy package that includes a free vet exam, food and discounts.
