Moisa convicted of sex assault

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An Oahu jury Tuesday convicted 58-year-old Henry Moisa of three counts of sex assault in the first degree. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on a fourth count. He faces a mandatory 20 years in jail when he is sentenced on July 14th.

Prosecutors say that Moisa sexually assaulted a boy who worked at his portable toilet business. The boy testified that he was 14 when the assaults began and they continued for almost a year. The boy is now 17 and a senior in high school.

This was actually Moisa's second trial. The first time around, inconsistent witness statements triggered a mistrial before the case ever went to the jury.
