Punahou sweeps state golf titles

KAHUKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Golfers from Punahou School won both the boy's and girl's David S. Ishii Foundation Golf championships at Turtle Bay Wednesday.

The Buffenblu boy's team finished eight strokes ahead of second place Moanalua in the two day event.

Likewise the Buffenblu girl's team finished eight strokes ahead of second place Baldwin.

Baldwin's Cassy Isagawa won individual honors among the girls by finishing three over par, just a stroke ahead of Kauai High's Keli Oride.

Rudy Cabalar from Campbell High and Nainoa Calip from Kamehameha on the Big Island tied for the boy's individual state title.  Both had two round totals of three under par.
