Flash flood watch issued for the weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A flash flood watch has issued a flash flood watch for the weekend.

The National Weather Service says that an approaching cold front combined with an upper trough will mean there is potential for heavy rain for Kauai, Niihau and Oahu.

The watch is in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday evening.

Guy Hagi is tracking the latest developments, and will have the latest on the severe weather alert throughout the night.
