MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A lot of college athletes choose their school because of the team they will be joining, but not UH quarterback David Graves.
The redshirt freshman loves being a Warrior and hopes to be a starter someday, but football is not what brought this kid from California to the islands.
He came for the music.
"I told them ... 'mom, dad, the music's in Hawaii. I know it's out there and even if I can't go to music classes, the music is there and I love it.'"
Graves plays the saxophone, piano and guitar.
"I'm jamming with my lineman and anyone who will play," Graves told Hawaii News Now.
