MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - As the UH Warrior volleyball team loaded onto a bus headed to the airport for a flight to California, someone noticed the bus had a flat tire.
A campus shuttle came to the rescue transporting the team to Honolulu International Airport in time to catch its flight.
The fourth ranked Warriors take on top ranked Stanford Thursday in the MPSF semi-finals. The winner will advance to the MPSF final to take on either BYU or Cal State Northridge.
The team that wins the MPSF tournament gets an automatic berth to the NCAA final four.
Hawaii players intend to not only win the MPSF title, but to win the national championship.
"We don't feel like we're done yet. We keep fighting to have that extra practice. We want to know when our last practice is going to be and we want to keep going hard all the way. We know we can beat everybody who is left in the conference and the nation," Junior outside hitter Joshua Walker told Hawaii News Now.
Thursday's semi-final against Stanford will be televised live on KFVE at 4:40 PM. The match will be re-broadcast later that same evening.
