Post office seeking public input on cost-cutting

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The post office is facing billions of dollars in losses and is considering a variety of ways to cut costs. Now you can help them stay afloat.

Both the commission that oversees the US Postal Service and the post office's inspector general are seeking comment and suggestions from the public. Cost-savings measures being considered include eliminating Saturday mail delivery, generating revenue from new products, raising rates, closing offices and restructuring mail processing centers.

If you want to comment visit the websites of the postal regulatory commission or the postal inspector general.
