HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for all south facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. The advisory is in effect until 6:00 PM Tuesday evening.
Surf along south-facing shores will be 6 to 10 Feet through Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
A high surf advisory means that large breaking waves, dangerous rip currents and localized beach erosion will affect beaches in the advisory area.
