HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -  An off-duty Honolulu police officer is out on bail after being arrested for drunk driving. Police say 53-year-old Boyd Kamikawa hit a 61-year-old woman in a crosswalk in Chinatown Saturday morning.

She was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Honolulu police say that they are conducting an internal investigation through their Professional Standards Office. Kamikawa has had his police powers taken away and will not be able to drive because his license was revoked.

Kamikawa is a 23-year veteran of the force. He's scheduled to appear in court next month.
