Police searching for bank robbery suspect

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police are searching for a suspect who robbed the First Hawaiian Bank on Liliha Street. At around 10:50 AM Friday a man went into the bank and demanded cash. He indicated that he had a weapon but no weapon was seen by witnesses.

The suspect fled in a faded gold 2005 Hyundai. He was last seen exiting onto University Avenue from H-1 eastbound. University of Hawaii security officials have been notified that the suspect was headed into the area of UH.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 30's or 40's, 5'11' to 6'0" tall weighing between 150-160 pounds. He was wearing a green hooded sweat shirt and gray long pants.
