Hawaii island police looking for assault and ID theft suspect

HILO, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) – Big Island police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 22-year-old Matthew Aaron Miller. Police say Miller broke into a Puna woman's home on January 20, assaulted her and stole her purse. Police also want Miller in connection with a theft and identity theft investigation. He also has a $50,000 warrant for revocation of probation.

Miller is 5'6" tall and weighs 145 pounds with a medium build. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

Police ask that anyone knowing Miller's whereabouts call Detective John Ancheta at 961-2276 or the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
