HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui hotel occupancy is 77 percent now, a little better than the week before, while Oahu hotel occupancy has fallen to a still respectable 73 percent. Kauai is fuller, 60 percent, while the Big Island is 54 percent full. Room rates are mostly flat to higher compared to 2009.

Wanted Wednesday on a Friday - Someone has stolen Meadow Gold Dairy's Lani Moo mascot costume. The Dairy, which is owned by a company on the mainland and gets nearly all its milk from California, is asking for help in retrieving the costume, which is locally made and not pasteurized.
