HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With bruising still visible around her eyes, a woman who says her boyfriend tried to throw her off a balcony in Waikiki last week testified at a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Bryan Roudebush, 23, is charged with attempted murder. His girlfriend told investigators he became violent after he smoked the legal drug "Spice" Friday night.

Ola Peyton says Roudebush punched her in the head half a dozen times, tried to push her over the railing of their 11th floor lanai, and then poked her in the eyes.

"He was just pushing me and shoving me and I got closer to the railing and the railing was at my side and he was pushing me over," the suspect's girlfriend testified. "He pushed me over a couple of times. I was like, this is it. I thought tonight was going to be the time I was going to die."

The judge determined there's enough evidence to send the case to trial. Roudebush is scheduled to be arraigned at Circuit Court April 19th.
