MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) -Hawaii pitcher Josh Slaats overpowered the Gonzaga bats Friday night. Slaats gave up just one hit while striking out ten in seven innings of shut out baseball at Les Murakami Stadium.

Collin Bennett drove in two runs with a single fifth inning. The 'Bows added an unearned run in seventh.
Gonzaga scored a run off reliever Lenny Linsky in the ninth inning, and threatened to score more but left the bases loaded.
