HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car near the intersection of Pali Highway and Vineyard Boulevard. First responders say that the 46-year-old Honolulu man attempted to cross the roadway outside of a crosswalk when he hit just before 1:00 PM Tuesday.
He was taken to a Queens Medical Center in critical condition with injuries to his head, facial area and abrasions to his back and shoulders.
Police closed down all lanes of Pali Highway town-bound between School Street and Vineyard Boulevard for over two hours as they investigated the accident. The Pali Highway off-ramp from H-1 eastbound was also shut down.
All roads were re-opened by 3:15 PM.
