HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The fourth installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean" doesn't begin filming until this summer, but they're already looking for extras. There will be two casting calls held on Oahu and Kauai. "On Stranger Tides" will be filming on both islands.
Right now, they are looking for men who can play pirates, sailors and stand-ins for the movie's lead actors.
For the pirates, the production is looking for authentic-looking scavenger-types 18-60, all ethnicities, especially extreme character types: thin, tall, short, emaciated, odd features, huge nose, eyes, ears, lazy eye, grizzled and wrinkles faces, odd body types, missing limbs, teeth, etc.
Sailors must be thin and average build, good looking to extreme characters, British types, Spaniards, and other ethnicities, ages 18- into their 50s.
The production company stresses that they are looking for men only, no women or children are needed for this part of the filming. Men must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the US.
The casting agency is asking that all interested men bring a 3x5 color photo of themselves from the waist up. The photo does not need to be professionally shot and they ask that no wigs or make-up be worn. They also made this caveat:
"Do not say AARGH in your photo!"
