Wanted Wednesday UPDATE: Garrett Clark arrested

EWA BEACH (HawaiiNewsNow) - UPDATE: Based upon tips from the public, Garrett Clark was arrested in Kapolei on April 26. He was featured on Wanted Wednesday on March 24.

On October 21, 2007, a 16-year-old Ewa Beach girl was walking near her home on Hanaloa Street around 11:30 p.m. With her was a neighborhood acquaintance she knew by the name of "Ona."

"While walking, she was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted. She ran home and informed her parents," said Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

Police later identified Garrett Clark as her attacker, and arrested him for first-degree sex assault. He was found guilty and sentenced to one year in jail and five years probation. But authorities said the 21-year-old has now violated his probation for a second time.

"We featured him a year ago when the warrant came out for failure to comply with conditions of HOPE probation again," said Buffett. "So obviously he's not complying the second time, and the warrant was issued on February 10."

"We see a lot of these. If they don't call into HOPE, the warrants are issued so hopefully this is his second time being featured and that he'll start complying," said Buffett.
