Good Things: March 22

(HawaiiNewsNow) - It's time for some Good Things. On the Valley Isle, Mayor Charmaine Tavares honored three young men who helped save the lives of a mother and her son back in February. Jeremy Miller, Kelly Ha'ole and Aukai Hu'eu were at the award ceremony. Kelly's brother, Kai, was also recognized but was unable to attend. The commendation ceremony at the mayor's conference room was filled with friends and family of the young men.

And it is one of the newest extreme sports – crashed ice racing. A special ice course was built through Quebec City and 64 contestants took turns thudding, jumping and skidding to the finish. Thousands of spectators packed the area around the multi-level course and watches some spectacular crashes.
