The University of Hawaii baseball team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat USC 8-2 Friday night.
Reliever Alex Capaul (3-1) came into the game in the second inning when starter Nate Klein left with a sore throwing shoulder.
Capaul allowed just one run in 5.1 innings. Andrew Triggs (1-1) took the loss for USC.
Collin Bennett led the way for UH, going 1-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBI. David Freitas was 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI while both Kolten Wong and Greg Garcia were 1-for-3 with two runs. Kevin Macdonald also added a 1-for-3 game with two RBI.
Hawai'i continues the series with the Trojans Saturday at 6:35 p.m. at Les Murakami Stadium.
