HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - He has two felony warrants out for his arrest. Now authorities need your help to find Leon Lopes. The Oahu man is the focus of this week's Wanted Wednesday profile.

November 11, 2005. While driving on Kamehameha Highway in Hauula, Leon Lopes and his girlfriend got into a fight.

"They got into a confrontation that resulted in him striking her," said Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers. "She was able to get out of the vehicle and  the police. He was placed under arrest for abuse of a household member."

Then on November 11, 2008, a police officer making checks at Heeia State Park busted Lopes again.

"Notices a male sitting in a vehicle with vehicle violations like expired safety check, runs the vehicle license plate and found out it had been stolen on November 4, 2008," said Buffett.

Lopes was arrested for auto theft. In connection with these two incidents, the 28-year-old is now wanted for two $20,000 cash-only felony contempt warrants.

"Basically, he didn't show up for his hearing to modify his probation," said Buffett.

Lopes is six feet tall, and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his neck.

"He is known to frequent the Hauula-Kahuku areas and he does have five prior convictions," said Buffett. "He has UCPV, abuse, disorderly, harrassment and probation revocation."

Helping police catch him could put up to $1,000 in your wallet. Leon Lopes is this week's Wanted Wednesday fugitive.
