Iolani and Kamehameha advance to state title game

Top seeded Iolani turned back Kahuku 55-44 Friday night to advance to Saturday's Boys Division I state title game.

Kainoa Chu led Iolani with 22 points.

Iolani's opponent in the championship game will be Kamehameha-Kapalama.

The defending state champion Warriors reached the title game by defeating Punahou 47-43 Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Micah Christensen was Kamehameha's high scorer with 13 points.

Saturday's title game is scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

At 5 p.m. Pahoa and Kailua will meet in the Division II championship game.
