'Bows lose at Boise; WAC Tourney hopes fading

BOISE, ID. (HawaiiNewsNow) - Beat Boise State in Boise Thursday night and the UH men's basketball team would clinch a spot in next week's WAC Tournament.

But lose and the Rainbows would be a long shot to make the tourney.

Remember now, Hawaii has not won on the road all year. But early on, it looked like they might.

Petras Balocka with the miss, but Paul Campbell cleans up the mess.

Campbell nine rebounds and nine points on the night. Here's Campbell again, this time going to the hole with the finger roll.

Unfortunately for Hawaii fans, the 'Bows committed too many turnovers. Hiram Thompson loses the handle, the Broncos gallop the other way leading to a dunk for La'Shard Anderson.

Boise cut through Hawaii's "D" like Swiss cheese.

This is Oke Okoye rockin' the rim. The Broncos outscore Hawaii by 16 in the second half. They go on to win 82 to 63.

So now to make the tourney, the 'Bows need to upset Idaho at Idaho on Saturday.

They'll also need San Jose State to beat Boise and Nevada to beat Louisiana Tech.

It's very complicated and very unlikely.
