BANGKOK (HawaiiNewsNow) - After a rookie year that saw Michelle Wie earn her first career LPGA win and a Solheim Cup title, Wie kick-started her 2nd professional year on the tour early Thursday morning.
She did so in Round 1 of the "LPGA Thailand" in Bangkok.
The Punahou graduate carded a double-bogey on the 10th, but finished her day with three birdies in the last four holes.
She ended her round with an even par 72, good for a tie of 33rd place and leaving her six shots off the lead.
The LPGA Tour doesn't come state side until the Kia Classic on March 25.
