Tiger Woods to break his silence

(HawaiiNewsNow) - Can he repair his shattered public image? Tiger Woods has announced that he will speak publicly Friday morning for the first time since his sex scandal broke in November.

Pictures taken on Wednesday show Woods at an Orlando park. What's very noticeable is the Nike logo outfit which still sponsors him. Also just as obvious is his lack of a wedding ring. His agent says the news conference will include friends of Tiger and a handful of reporters. Woods will only make a statement and not take any questions.

"There have been celebrities deal successfully with scandals and you don't have to go back that far to Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, former President Bill Clinton, just to name a few, who stayed ahead of this, who stayed ahead of the scandal, who spoke with the American people and stayed in front of it," said Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee.

In addition to apologizing for his behavior, Woods plans to talk about his past and his future. Tune in Friday to Sunrise for live coverage of Tiger's statement starting at 6:00 a.m.
