Police searching for man who robbed Kakaako bank

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Police are searching for a man who robbed the First Hawaiian Bank branch on Ward Avenue in Kakaako Thursday morning. Witnesses say that a man wearing a mask entered the bank branch at around 10:58 AM Thursday morning, approached a teller and demanded money. No weapon was seen.

The man was last seen heading mauka on Ward Avenue on foot.

The man is described by police as 6'2" and 175 pounds. He was wearing a black and white floral hat, gray t-shirt, blue denim long pants, white sneakers and a black ski mask.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on your cellular phone. Police are continuing to investigate.
