Man arrested for stabbing two men in Chinatown

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Oahu man is in custody, accused of attacking two men with a knife. Police say it happened Tuesday night in Chinatown.

Investigators say two men saw the 36-year-old Marsian Aliwis arguing with his girlfriend shortly before 10:00 PM near the intersection of Maunakea and Beretania Streets.

When the men tried to intervene, Aliwis allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed both victims, causing large lacerations. Paramedics took them to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested the Aliwis for two counts of first degree assault.
