MIAMI (HawaiiNewsNow) - After two weeks of hoopla and countless pre-parties, Super Bowl 44 is over.
The years of being an embarrassment are behind them. The "Who Dat" New Orleans Saints have captured their first championship.
It ended up being a dream night for the Saints, taking it to Peyton Manning throughout the game to come away with the win. And on that losing Colts team was local boy Aaron Francisco.
Francisco told Hawaii News Now before the game he was sure he'd get the ring that eluded him a year ago with the Cardinals.
With flash bulbs blaring, Francisco got his first tackle of the game on the first play of the game, the game's opening kickoff.
Francisco brings down Courtney Roby on the 22-yard line. The reserve safety for the Colts was in on a handful of big hits, finishing the day with three tackles.
Unfortunately, Francisco was again unsuccessful in picking up that Super Bowl ring, losing to the Saints 31-17.
