HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's decision time for Hawaii's top high school football players. National letter of intent day is Wednesday.

That's when many recruits will announce where they'll play college ball. It's prospects like Farrington linebacker VJ Fehoko have lots of choices.

Fehoko lists some of the schools from which he's received letters of interest: "Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Arizona, Tennessee, BYU, Washington, UNLV, Auburn."

The list goes on and on and for good reason. Fehoko is an All-American ranked among the top linebackers in the country.

"This is against Kahuku my junior year," he says while watching himself on Youtube. "Basically I came out. Did a club move because I seen the tackle overstepping. I sacked the quarterback."

Sacking quarterbacks, Fehoko says, is the best part of the game.

"I have had interceptions, fumble recoveries, touchdowns, but there's no feeling like sacking the quarterback," he said.

Coaches across the country have seen the highlights. They've seen Youtube clips of Fehoko's amazing strength and they've overwhelmed him with scholarship offers.

"Just being put through it is kind of crazy," Fehoko said. "I mean, I'm just 17 and I'm trying to make the decision that's probably going to change my life."

It's a huge decision, but Fehoko is eager to make his choice and move on.

"I'd have to say I do have front runners, and it's probably University of Hawaii and University of Utah," he said. "Main reason, I feel very comfortable in both systems."

Fehoko says he's got family in Utah that would help ease the transition to life on the mainland, but he's already comfortable at Aloha Stadium.

He played high school games there and his father Vili is the UH Warrior.  VJ often played the drums right next to his dad.
