Sasha Cohen's road to the 2010 winter Olympics

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - All eyes were on Sasha Cohen this weekend as fans rooted for her comeback. After a 4 year break from competition, she returned for the US championships in Spokane, Washington.

Sasha Cohen burst onto the skating scene at the 2000 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, where she stole the spotlight and won a legion of fans. Although sidelined with an injury in 2001, her successful return to competition included a silver medal at the 2002 U.S. Championships and a fourth-place finish at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.

Cohen won her first World medal in 2004 and remained on the World podium for the next two years. She followed up her first U.S. title in 2006 with a dazzling silver medal finish at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy. In May 2009, Sasha announced that she will make a comeback, compete in the 2010 U.S. National Championships and try to qualify for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
