Good Things: Wedding ring, Koala baby, Twitter street

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Every year, Sacramento-area cub scouts recycle left over Christmas trees as a community service and fundraiser. And every year, they find more than just dried-up needles and branches. This year, it was ornaments, cupcakes and a gold wedding ring. The den is now looking for the ring's rightful owner.

The San Diego zoo needs help naming a new resident, very cute female koala Joey. As you can see, the Joey is alert and taking in her surrounds. But she's not quite ready to leave her mom, and explore on her own. Visitors will be asked to vote for their favorite from the top five names submitted. Zoo keepers are looking for a name with a Australian or Aboriginal significance.

And Twitter is making its mark everywhere including a Palestinian refugee camp. A Dutch-Palestinian blogger has named a street in the camp "Twitter Street" to call attention to the conditions in the camp. And it's worked, the number of people who read his blog went from 700 to 25,000 in a week.
