HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Looking to shed those holiday cookies from your waistline? Look no further, we're going to show you a killer workout this morning. It's called TRX training, and uses the resistance from your body to tone and shape those muscles. All month, Malika Dudley will be exploring different ways to workout.
The TRX takes weight training, core and functional training, balance and power training and adds a twist or a bend, a high or low angle, a dip or even a swing! Curious? You will also experience awesome cardiovascular training when combined with the right jumps, hops, leaps, steps, and attitude. Experience a whole new way to workout that's actually fun, effective, and unique each class.
Side effects? A strong athletic body, abs and back of steel, shoulder/hip/knee/ankle strengthening, functional strength and occasional shock when you do something you never thought you could do! Perfect for athletes wanting to cross-train and those of you who are "soon to be fit" and have only thought about exercising.
