The formula for a successful UH basketball season is always the same.
Win at home and split on the road and you'll be in the hunt for a conference title.
But UH lost its WAC opener at home and Monday night against Boise State, the 'Bows were without leading scorer Dwain Williams, who was out with a shoulder injury.
Adhar Mayen picks up the slack. Mayen will take it strong to the hoop, getting the bucket and the foul. Mayen finishes with 13 points.
Boise though, ends the 1st half on a 21-6 run to take the lead.
But in the second half, Hawaii did the running. Petras Balocka with the outlet to Roderick Flemings for the lay-in. They'll hook up again moments later for a dunk.
Balocka with five assists. Flemings had a game high 20 points.
Hawaii wins 76 to 68. 'Bows go to 1-and-1 in conference play.
