HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - On December 5, Urban Meyer checked himself into a Georgia Hospital with chest pains just hours after Florida lost the SEC Championship to Alabama. Today his health served as the reasoning for why he will step down as the Gator's coach.

Meyer calls it quits as the Gator's head coach after 5-seasons in Gainesville during which he led them to 2-national titles.

Meyer says he consulted with his family, his doctors, as well as the school's president and athletic director before deciding it was in his best interest to focus on his health and family. Meyer said he will hold a news conference on Sunday and will coach his final game in the Sugar Bowl against Cincinnati.

Here's a list of some of Urban's Shiites at Florida over the last 5-seasons.

  • He won National Titles in 2006 and 2008.
  • The Gator's were 56-10 during his tenure.
  • He also had a school record 22-game win streak that was snapped against ‘Bama this month.
