HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It was a double loss for the Rainbow Warrior basketball team Wednesday night. The Bow's 4-game win streak came to an end tonight after losing to 20th ranked UNLV 77-53 in the semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The second loss came with 7-minutes remaining in the 2nd half when senior forward Roderick Flemings injured his right knee.
Flemings stood in the lane to take a charge and bumped knees with a Runnin' Rebels player. He immediately grabbed his knee and was helped off the court and did not return to the game. Flemings finished with 8-points and 10-rebounds.
After shooting nearly 60-percent from the floor against the College of Charleston on Thursday, Hawaii only managed to convert on 34-percent of their shots.
UNLV built a 23-point lead at the half and increased that margin by one-point by the end of the night.
UH falls to 6-5 on the year, UNLV improves to 12-1.
