Good Things: Pennies for Peace, Fast Typist

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - At the kindergarten center in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, the kids sing about pennies. It echoes the "Pennies for Peace" program at their school. The program was started by Greg Mortenson, based on the notion that a penny can help educate a child. Students at the kindergarten center, now collect pennies to help kids around the world.

Fifth grader Mackensie Lundgren has a gift. She can type 119 words per minute, with only three errors. The Kansas student says she started typing on a computer keyboard at the age of four. Lundgren says her goal is to be able to type 200 words per minute by the time she reaches the 8th grade.
