HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Medical Examiner's office has identified the woman killed in a Tuesday morning pedestrian accident as 84-year-old Sue Sumiko Sawamoto of Honolulu.
Police say a man driving an SUV crashed into Sawamoto at the Don Quijote parking lot on Kaheka Street. She had serious head injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Police do not believe drugs, speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
