MANOA (HAWAII NEWS NOW) - It was throw back night at the Stan Sheriff center as our own Brooks Baher called his first game in 15 years, while UH played BYU for the first time in 10.
Early on, Hawaii hung easily with their former WAC mates. Hiram Thompson led UH with 15 points. UH trailed by 10 at the half.
In the second, Rod Flemings cut Hawaii's deficit to five with the put back. He finished with 12 points and just one rebound.
But UH just turned the ball over too much Friday night – 20 times to be exact. BYU shot 53% from the floor and led by as much as 20 in this one.
As BYU drops UH 83-65, it's the second loss in a row for Hawaii.
Next up for the Rainbow Warriors is New Mexico back here next Friday night.
