HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) The federal court in Honolulu is hearing a case on whether a Maui man is competent to stand trial. Noshir Gowadia is accused of spying for China.
Prosecutors say Gowadia sold cruise missile information to the communist country. He is also accused of selling classified stealth technology to people in Israel, Germany and Switzerland.
The former B-2 stealth bomber engineer underwent mental testing in recent months at a federal prison in Illinois. Now the court is deciding whether Gowadia is mentally competent to assist in his own defense.
