HONOLULU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) - Hawaii public school students will lose instructional days this year. To help fill the void, Kaplan is offering a special Furlough Friday SAT program with reduced tuition. Kaplan's Hawaii director Richelle Kim joined us to explain.

To provide an educational option for families affected by the teacher furloughs, Kaplan Test Prep, the world's leading provider of test preparation and admissions services, is offering Special Furlough Friday SAT Prep classes with reduced tuition for Oahu Public High School students.
Oahu Public High School students will be able to take SAT prep classes for 17 sessions, scheduled on the 17 Furlough Friday days at the Honolulu Kaplan Center for a special rate of 38% off regular tuition. Friday classes will run in the Honolulu Kaplan Center located at 1580 Makaloa Street, Suite #500.
The Honolulu Kaplan Center is dedicated to assisting the families affected by the furloughs to provide a safe learning environment for students while also preparing them to take the June 2010 administration of the SAT. These courses are geared toward high school juniors who want to get higher scores on the SAT to improve their chances of getting into their top choice schools as well as broaden their scholarship opportunities.
