Honolulu (HawaiiNewsNow) - A pair of rescued sailors and their dogs are on their way to Hawaii on a cruise ship.
The Golden Princess was on its way to Hilo when the Coast Guard sent word that two people were stranded in their boat about 400 miles east of Hawaii. The man and woman, from Washington, ran into bad weather and started to run out of fuel. The cruise ship diverted and pulled them all to safety.
Tonight, they're not only okay but also are being treated to hot showers, warm meals and a cozy room.
The couple and their two dogs are expected to arrive in Honolulu tomorrow.
