Police searching for male wanted for attempted sex assault

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a male who attempted to sexually assault a woman in Barber’s Point.

At around 10:00 AM on November 5, the victim awoke to find the suspect standing in her bedroom. The suspect locked the woman and an 11-month-old child in the bedroom and began to search the residence. He later returned to the room, brandished a knife, and demanded sex from the victim. The victim refused and the male fled in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described as being in his thirties, 5’6” tall and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in a brown long sleeved t-shirt, black basketball shorts, black shoes, navy blue baseball cap with some type of embroidered badge on the front.
