Easy Eats: Chicken Spinach Pasta Salad, BLT Dogs and Patriotic Parfaits

July 4 is Saturday and for most of you out there, it is picnic time! But what to bring? Chances are you'll need some food.

So we sent Steve back into the kitchen and he came back with some good ideas.

Chicken Spinach Pasta Salad
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 3 hr 10 min
Makes: 4 servings

What You Need

  • 1-1/2 pkg. (6 oz. each) OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Grilled Chicken Breast Strips (about 2-1/2 cups)
  • 2 cups shell macaroni or rotini, cooked, drained
  • 1 small bunch fresh spinach, cleaned, dried and torn into bite-size pieces (about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup KRAFT Ranch Dressing
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 can (2-1/4 oz.) sliced black olives, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

  • TOSS all ingredients until well blended; cover.
  • REFRIGERATE several hours or until chilled.

Make it Easy
Omit macaroni, Ranch dressing and Parmesan cheese. Prepare any flavor KRAFT Pasta Salad as directed on package. Add chicken, spinach, tomatoes and olives; mix lightly. Serve immediately. Or, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

BLT Dogs
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 10 min
Makes: 4 servings, one sandwich each

What You Need

4 OSCAR MAYER Wieners or Beef Franks

4 hot dog buns, partially split

1/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing

4 lettuce leaves

4 slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon

1 small tomato, cut into 12 thin wedges

Make It

HEAT wieners as directed on package or grill until cooked through (160°F).

SPREAD buns with dressing.

FILL with lettuce, wieners, bacon and tomatoes.

Patriotic Parfaits
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 4 hr 10 min
Makes: 9 servings, one parfait each

What You Need

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 pkg. (8-serving size) or 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Berry Blue Flavor Gelatin
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, halved

Make It

  • STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Pour into nine parfait or dessert glasses.
  • REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm.
  • SPOON 2 cups of the whipped topping over gelatin. Top with strawberries and remaining whipped topping. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
