HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - "It must be different practicing coming off a win? Some are more positive now. We're a lot happier knowing that all our hard work is really paying off. It's about time we got this win and so it's just a big relief," said Warrior defensive back Richard Torres.

"It's one win though. I mean if it was the first win of the season it would be different but we got to win 4 of the next 4. We just got to take it week by week and come at it with the mentality that we're the underdogs. Cause really we are the underdogs to go 4 in a row," said Warrior safety  Spencer Smith.

Mixed emotions and a bit of caution are where the Warriors are as the UH football team comes off its first WAC win and preparing to play its final WAC game against New Mexico State.

But here's a good note. The Warriors have more weapons with the return of defensive back Jeramy Bryant and wide receiver Royce Pollard. Both have been cleared to play and are back working out, which Coach Mack calls a pleasant surprise.

"Yeah, Jeremy's back and Pollard is back, and shoot I don't know what to do with these guys. It's sort of fun, the fun of it is seeing some of these guys heal up and get back with us so I know it makes them feel better cause they really wanted to be in there," said Coach Mack.
