HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Symphony cancelled a 4:00 PM meeting with the city Tuesday, saying it's not ready to go public about its financial status.
It's the first time the city has heard from management after a week of unreturned calls.
The Symphony rents the Blaisdell Concert Hall from Honolulu's Enterprise Services Department.
The department's director says they were alarmed after the Symphony cancelled this weekend's concerts at the Blaisdell, without telling the city.
The Symphony's board chair, Peter Shaindlin, says they do plan on making an announcement soon.
