Na Palapala's classic sound dazzles audiences for 15 year

HONOLULU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) - The Hawaiian leo ki'eki'e or falsetto is a classic sound that has been present for generations here in the islands.

The young and talented members of Na Palapalai have been dazzling audiences for 15 years, and it all started around friends and family in settings just like this. That takes us back all the way before N Palapalai was even formed. Was still in the beginning stages of us jamming and high school and stuff like that. And here they are at another milestone with the release of their fourth album, Nanea.

We caught up with Kehau and Kuana in the studio working on one of their favorites on the CD. The release of the new CD also introduces a new label which brings together friends and fellow entertainers Kellen and Lihau of Kupaoa, together with Kuana and partner Marcus Turner. We all bring different strengths to the group. Hulu Kupuna refers to the precious treasures of our kupuna.
